The previous post looked at what can I do with a blog? A lot of you are asking how to make money online with your blog, so it makes sense to do a feature on some of the easier ways in which you can leverage your blog hosted on Bake Radio to earn some cash for you.

One thing you’ll notice in your WP control panel is a tab for Revenue Sharing. This allows you to monetise your blog in three ways.

  1. Adsense
  2. eBay
  3. Kontera

Adsense is probably the easiest way of generating a steady stream of passive income with your blog and its as easy as anything to add to your blog, assuming of course that you have an account with them. Simply enter your publisher id in the appropriately marked box and check the activate box, save and your good to go.

eBay is another great way of generating passive income by earning commissions from the sales of items on eBay that you display on your blog. Again, you’ll need an EPN account to do this, so if you do then enter a campaign id in the appropriate box for eBay and check the activate box, save and start making money with eBay!

Kontera is another way of making a passive income from your blog posts. This is less effective than the previous two, but in some niches is well worth adding to your blog. As with the previous two options, add your publisher id to the box, check to activate and the rest is done for you.

Of course, this isn’t a magic formula where you can just press a button and watch the money fall out of the sky. There is some work involved and the major part of that is making sure your blog features on the first page of the search engines in order to attract organic search traffic. If you’re not getting traffic from the search engines, then you shouldn’t activate adsense as it could negatively effect your account.

But I’ll be writing in future posts with some tips on how to get some of that coveted search engine traffic so you can leverage your blog to make money online passively.
